Do you offer…?
- Experience promoting sites for development and local planning processes, ideally but not limited to quarrying, waste, or infrastructure
- At least five years of planning experience
- Full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel UK-wide
This Planning Manager role will utilise the strategic insights and stakeholder management skills you’ve built from previous projects and locations. It will harness that sense of achievement and pride that drives you to succeed in this line of work.
You’re an independent worker but you’re a people person – a composed and convincing leader in a public forum. When you’re meeting land agents and owners, you can filter and clarify technical jargon, and you’re adept at building rapport with all sorts of characters.
It’s your expertise that’s key to digging into the detail and finding the right angles and intricacies to pitch and present pre-planning submissions of local plans to councils.
The Role…
- Monitoring local plans and preparing submissions of local plans to councils
- Site identification and presenting skills to support why your submissions should be allocated, prior to potential planning permission
- Offering persuasive pre-planning insights
- Staying up to date with planning policies and trends, nationwide
- Identifying gaps and opportunities for growth
- Liaising with regional teams to resolve business needs
- Negotiating with and influencing stakeholders, nationwide
